Business Youth Technology Education

The Business Youth Technology Education (BYTES) project was developed in response to identified needs of students and industry. The project involves the online delivery of HSC courses from the Information Technology, Business Services and Retail Curriculum Frameworks.

Target group: Rural and geographically isolated students and girls from language backgrounds other than English.

Coverage: Selected secondary schools across the State.

Timeframe: Ongoing

Responsibility Agency: NSW Department of Education and Training in partnership with Australian Business, Western Sydney Information Technology Centre Ltd, New England Institute of TAFE and Artsnet.

TAFE Outreach

The Outreach area in TAFE NSW Institutes provides flexible and responsive programs for young people at risk across New South Wales. These programs are run in partnership with schools, other government agencies and community groups. They can be offered either on or off campus depending on the needs of the young people.

Target group: Post compulsory school aged young people at risk.

Coverage: All Institutes of TAFE NSW across the State.

Timeframe: Ongoing.

Responsibility Agency: NSW Department of Education and Training.
