Pathways to Employment Opportunities Program

This Program is aimed at disadvantaged groups in the labour market who have difficulty accessing mainstream programs. In particular, the Program is targeted to Indigenous youth and unemployed young offenders from the ACT and region. Some of the participants are undertaking Community Service Orders and some are in custody preparing to move back into the community at the end of their sentences.

The Program is designed to prepare participants for the job market, providing them with core entry-level job skills and enhancing their life skills and self-esteem. The objectives of the Program are to place participants in the job market so that they can achieve sustainable jobs and/or move on to further training including New Apprenticeships.

Target group: Unemployed youth

Coverage: Territory wide

Timeframe: Ongoing and funding allows
